Effluent
Treatment Plant
A pilot project based on indigenously
developed & patented bio-technology by
a
university professor (Dr. K.P. Saxena), operationalized for
3 at Madrampura & Sanganer.
Jigger/Winch
Sanganer Cluster is characterized by low productivity coupledwith
outdated technology and processes for textile printing.
Further due to indiscriminate usage of resource viz. fuel,
water etc. the cost of the product becomes uncompetitive
and the procedure lengthy.
The above program tackled all such issue by making a modification
in the furnaces used by dyers, printers and job workers
alike. The consultancy was handled by NPC, which had a vast
experience in the line which included successful demonstration,
workshops, paper circulation and dissemination of the knowledge.
No.
of units benefited: 34 (19 Printers, 10 Dyers, 5 Processors/
Washers)
Support
under project: Consultancy cost for 2 demonstrations paid
under the project With successful demonstration of above technology,
the wood consumption went down by at least 30-40%, the firing
time was reduced to 1 hour, the smoke was channelised through
a pipe 8 feet in height resulting in:
-
Saving of Rs. 5,000/- per furnace in terms of wood alone.
-
Saving of Rs. 2000/- per month on chemical consumption.
-
Saving the manpower and time.
-
Better work environment.
-
Better work quality due to even temperature.
-
Conservation of precious natural resources.
Today
people are coming forward to reap the benefits leading to
mass replication of indigenous technology.
