RCCI
- SDC Collaboration: The Road - ahead
RCCI,
in a relatively short period of an initial 3 years has
-
Gained first practical experiences in promoting MSEs through
a Business Development Center (BDC) cluster - approach.
-
Consequently, gained a certain level of competence and
confidence in steering/ managing developmental activities
and processes.
Activities
in Human and Institutional Developmental (HID) will be required
to consolidate RCCI in this new role, which is innovative
to India's understanding of business chambers.
Consequently- under the goal of poverty alleviation through
the retention and creation of sustainable and decent jobs
by viable and competitive enterprises - a new phase of RCCI-SDC
collaboration started in the year 2001 with the following
objectives:
-
To strengthen and consolidate RCCI's Business Development
Center (BDC) through HID activities in order to perform
its role as facilitator and promoter in the field of cluster
development in an effective way.
-
To replicate elsewhere in the textile sector of Rajasthan
the models successfully introduced in the block-printing
cluster of Sanganer and to develop replicable models and
approaches in new textile clusters other than block printing.
-
To carry out focused interventions in few clusters of three
additional sectors viz. WWP, APP & RCC exclusively in
rural centers of Rajasthan having a good potential to grow
and to create employment.
-
Utilize these platforms for mutual learning, for the promotion
to replicate successful models and for influencing the policy
environment in favor of micro and small enterprises.
