Development
Perspective
During
nineties when first industrial liberalization took place,
RCCI felt the need to extend technical assistance of general
nature across, particularly for smaller Industries. Thus RCCI
as a facilitator initiated the reform process and started
assisting existing as
well as upcoming industries. This initiative yielded an image
of RCCI as a private service institute. Such role was appreciated
and well recognized by many national and international agencies
including Swiss Agency for Development & Co-operation
(SDC), USAID, GTZ, SIDBI, NABARD, EPCH etc. resulting thereby
into M.O.Us and/or partnerships in execution of Development
Projects. In this context partnership with SDC w. e. f. 1.10.98
is unique as it has added new dimensions and widened RCCI's
activities to initiate employment and income generation activities
through promotion of micro and small enterprises. RCCI has
since been active in developing clusters, common interest
groups in Textile (Hand Block Printing), Gem & Jewellery,
Wool & Woolen Products, Rural Craft and Culture and Agro
Products Processing sectors.
RCCI's Key developmental activities
